Delicious food in Linyi, Sa 临沂美食

【课程活动目的】

1、通过图片和文本材料带领学生了解临沂美食。

2、通过用英语介绍临沂美食,提高学生的口语水平和语言综合运用能力。

3、通过用英语介绍临沂美食,熟悉临沂家乡食品,激发学生热爱家乡,以沂蒙为荣,立志为宣传沂蒙、建设沂蒙的热情。

【课程活动内容】

Part one: Introduce delicious food in Linyi

第一部分:介绍临沂美食

Sa



Sa is a special snack of Linyi. Having some Sa with Clay oven rolls(烧饼) or Fried bread stick(油条) in the morning is a traditional enjoyment for Linyi people. People like it because it is hot ,tasty, fatty yet not greasy. It’s not only delicious but also has medicinal value. In Chinese ,Sa’s meaning is the Ginseng(人参) of rice. It helps to resist pathogenic wind and cold and stimulates the appetite . According to Linyi County annals, Sa was first made by Linyi people at the end of Ming Dynasty and was changed many times and finally became a famous food of Linyi. There are three kinds of Sa, and they are beef Sa, mutton Sa and chicken Sa.

Stories about Sa

The name of Sa has relation to Emperor Qianlong. Once Emperor Qianlong went to Southeast China and he passed Tancheng Town. The local officials offered Sa to Qianlong as breakfast. Qianlong had never eaten Sa before, he thought it was very delicious. He asked the officials what it was. The officials were very nervous standing by the emperor, so one of them just repeated what the emperor said. As the word “what” in Chinese sound like “Sa”, Emperor Qianglong thought this kind of porridge is called Sa. Since then people call this kind of porridge Sa.

Part two:  Learn together, understand and memorize the English text above.

第二部分:集体学习、理解记忆以上英语文本,家长指导。

Part three: Students change the English text into their own learned English ,then speak the food in English each other. Students can ask the teacher, the teacher guides students in language expression .

第三部分:学生以小组为单位,把上述糁的文本转化为自己学过英语语言,可以先写写,然后相互用英语口语表达食品内容。教师接受学生咨询,家长现场给予学生语言指导。

Part four:  Practice  language , small groups  introduce delicious food “sa” .Teachers and students listened.

第四部分:语言实践,小组汇报展示,假设向外宾介绍临沂美食“糁”,教师和家长聆听汇报,给予点评。

Part five:  Ask each of the students to write a short passage about “sa”.

第五部分: 要求每位同学都写一篇有关临沂美食“糁”的小短文。
