  教学目标:


1.To understand the usages of some important words, phrases especially printed in bold type (黑体字)and the Infinitive(动词不定式) in the context.

2. To have a good understanding of the story and form the opinion to treat the disabled using critical thinking(批判性思维).

3. To improve our reading speed, ability to find information quickly(快速寻找信息的能力) as well as

analytic ability(分析概括能力) gradually.

4. To experience the challenges, feelings of Marty and learn his optimistic and strong-minded(意志坚强的) attitude to life.

   教学重点:

  1.提高阅读的能力和方法。

  2.掌握有关残疾话题的词汇或搭配。

  3.利用批判性思维,学习残疾人积极乐观的生活态度;

  教学难点:提高学生的阅读能力。

  教学过程: 

1.Greetings.

2.学习目标的投放

3.Enjoy a video about a speech by Nike, and then ask:

”What do you think of him?”

Do you know anyone with a mental or physical disability? 

(2)What has he/she done to overcome the difficulties? 

(3)What have they achieved? 

Then present pictures of Steven Hawking; Helen Keller; Haidi Zhang and so on.

Finally ask:”What do you learn from them?”

设计意图:导入话题 ,引导学生发挥想象力。4. Here we are going to learn a story about a disabled boy, Marty who is also strong-minded and achieved a lot.

Task 1: Skimming.

 设计意图:了解文章框架与大意。
